Postie Plus edges back into profit

Clothing retailer Postie Plus has reported a full year net profit of $615,000, edging back into the black from a $10.85m loss the year before on "a very good second half recovery".

Briscoe doubles profit

Briscoe Group has reported a more than doubling of earnings for the half year to July 26.

The retailer reported today that earnings rose to $6.52 million from $3.09 million at the same time a year ago. The result was in line with recent guidance given to the market by the company. As the company had previously indicated, included in the profit figure was an "asset impairment adjustment", which knocked $827,627 off the result.

The Reject Shop beats guidance

The Reject Shop Limited (TRS) beat previously provided guidance to record a full year NPAT result of $19 million, up 21.8% on the previous year. However, the company said the first six weeks of FY10 had already shown signs of what a difficult year ahead it would be.

Postie Plus credits SAP for beating market in Q4 08

Clothing retailer Postie Plus cites its implementation of SAP as one of the factors driving its better-than-average performance in consulting firm Deloitte’s latest South Island index.

The systems included financials, Warehouse Management and SAP’s Business Warehouse business intelligence product. The package was installed by SAP partner CIBER.

SAP The Right Fit For EziBuy

EziBuy, Australasia’s largest apparel and home décor catalogue company, has selected SAP and CIBER to deliver a new business system platform based on the SAP for Retail software solution.

The project scope includes SAP Financials, Purchasing, Merchandising, Pricing and Promotions, Internet Sales Order Processing, the SAP Business Warehouse and SAP NetWeaver with the Exchange Infrastructure for integration with the existing POS and Warehouse Management systems.

CIBER will provide services to deliver the solution in a phased approach which will see SAP Financials go live by early 2008 with the full “novaRetail” solution live by mid-year.

Home interior company puts the spotlight on its information systems
Single platform will replace custom built apps

Australian fabric, craft and home interior company, Spotlight Pty Ltd, is revamping its information systems replacing a number of custom built applications and packaged solutions.

The company will move to a single platform with the implementation of SAP for Retail with phase one to be completed by October, 2007.
The project is designed to provide Spotlight with access to detailed performance data to support its focus on customer relationships.
